Desperate search launched for teen, 18, who disappeared while swimming at popular Sydney beach

A teenager has gone missing while swimming at a popular beach in northern Sydney.
The 18-year-old was in the water with two friends on Saturday night off Freshwater Beach, on the city’s northern beaches, but never made it back ashore.
The police started an urgent search for the man shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday with a helicopter and a police boat that scanned the area.
Crews from Surf Life Saving NSW and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter have also been deployed.
