A teenager was chased by police after traveling to Romania and stealing a car so he could find Dracula and become a vampire.
The 19-year-old Swiss man traveled last week to the town of Fagaras in Transylvania, which is about 170 miles from the Hoia-Baciu Forest where he had planned to meet Dracula on Halloween, according to local media.
But the teenager had run out of money by the time he arrived in Fagaras, so he broke into a car on the morning of October 20 and headed towards his destination.
The police ran after him when the owner reported the car stolen and during the chase, the Swiss hit five other cars and injured three people.
‘I wanted to go to the forest of Hoia-Baciu, in search of my great-great-grandfather, Count Dracula, Vlad Tepes. I hope I can turn into a vampire. “I’ve dreamed of this all my life and now I’m here,” the teenager told investigators.

He appeared to be dressed up as vampire hunter and Dracula’s archenemy Van Helsing, including his trademark hat and long coat, for his trip.
A witness told local media that the teenager weaved through traffic at high speed.
‘He hit my right door and threw me against the sidewalk. “My legs were shaking a little, (but) I didn’t suffer anything,” said the driver.
The Swiss man eventually abandoned the car and fled on foot, but was quickly detained by police.
Dashboard camera footage shows the police chase, with several officers on foot and three police vehicles pursuing the fleeing suspect.
A police spokeswoman said the 19-year-old refused to stop for police and instead sped off, before crashing into one car at a roundabout and four others during a collision near a fuel station.
During the police chase, the Swiss man ran over five cars. Damage to a car is shown above.

The three people injured during the collision with the Swiss, two women and a man, were taken to hospital for treatment.
Initial tests reportedly indicated he was high on drugs and he allegedly admitted to being under the influence in front of investigators.
He was taken to the hospital for tests that police hope will reveal whether there are any psychoactive substances in his blood, according to the spokeswoman.
It was also revealed that the teenager did not have a driver’s license, according to local media.
He is currently detained for 24 hours while the investigation continues into robbery and various traffic violations, including driving without a license and failing to stop for police signs.
