Teenage boy seriously injured after falling while train surfing in Western Sydney

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital in serious condition after falling while surfing on a train.

A teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling while surfing in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services rushed to the rail corridor between Seven Hills and Blacktown train stations after receiving a call for assistance at around 10am on Monday.

A 14-year-old boy was believed to have been standing on the outside of the train before falling onto the tracks.

Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene and took him away urgently. Westmead Children’s Hospital in serious condition.

It is understood the boy suffered serious injuries to his back, head, arm and torso.

Police are investigating the incident.
