Teen Mom star Maci Bookout has opened up about her relationship situation with ex Ryan Edwards, months after he was arrested for violating his restraining order, and revealed what his current incarceration means for her 14-year-old son, Bentley.

Now, Maci has spoken exclusively to DailyMail.com about how difficult it is for her to “support Bentley” and “do what’s right” for him while setting “boundaries” with her ex that she feels “comfortable with”.

Now, Maci spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about how hard it is for her to ‘support Bentley’ and ‘do right’ by him while setting ‘boundaries’ with her ex.
‘There’s plenty of temperature control to [me and my husband, Taylor McKinney] because obviously, our past with Ryan hasn’t been the best, it hasn’t been easy and [it’s been] very, very bad sometimes,’ he said.
“I feel pressure because I’m trying to support Bentley and do right by him, and I’m learning how to communicate and have a relationship with Ryan.

Ryan was arrested again in January 2019 for heroin possession and theft, and was fired from Teen Mom in March 2021.

Mackenzie, who married the troubled star in 2017, had filed for divorce days earlier and obtained a restraining order against Ryan after she reported multiple instances of domestic violence to police.
She said that he once pinned her ‘neck against the wall’, threw her ‘down in the hall and said he couldn’t have her, no one could’ and ‘opened [his] pocket knife’ and put it in her ‘back as if he were going to kill her,’ according to court documents.
