Jenelle Evans flew to Las Vegas ready to start looking into creating her own marijuana business on Thursday’s episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter on MTV.
“I’m really happy to be out of North Carolina right now,” Jenelle, 32, told her manager August Keen, who met her and was already living in Las Vegas.
“I bet so,” August said.
“I’ve been dealing with a lot of things,” Jenelle said. “There’s the pending court cases right now, the no-contact order and then the David and Jace thing.”
Jenelle was fired from Teen Mom 2 after her ex-husband David Eason shot and killed their dog Nugget in April 2019. She revealed earlier this season that she was seeking a restraining order against David, who was charged with child abuse for allegedly strangling their 14-year-old son Jace.

August said he got this opportunity through a former business partner of his who was a cannabis grower.
“I know you’ve always wanted your own cannabis line,” August said.
“I’ve always wanted to launch a marijuana brand because I’ve been smoking since I was younger,” Jenelle said. “It helps me medically and mentally.”
Jenelle said she wanted to be actively involved and try out every product.
“I’m happy not to have David’s obstacle in the way,” Jenelle said.
“Because it has kept you from doing a lot of business,” August said. “You can be a businesswoman again.”
Jenelle said she received a call from the loan company regarding the dirt bike.
“I feel like I’m helping him do whatever he wants, but I can’t do anything. My name is on the loan,” Jenelle said.
A flashback showed Jenelle in an epic fight with her mother Barbara Evans in which she told her mother that it was the time of day she liked to smoke marijuana.

“That’s not right,” August said.
Jenelle said she needed a fresh start.
“I may never be able to cut ties with David because we have a child together, but that’s where boundaries have to be set,” Jenelle said in a confessional.
Adriana, COO of GreenMed Wellness, reached out to meet them. She told them that they were the only Black-owned dispensaries and that they had also launched a brand for Whoopi Goldberg before asking Jenelle why she wanted to be a part of the cannabis community.
“A long time ago when I was on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, my mom and I were arguing and I was like, ‘It’s about this time of day. I want to smoke,’ and that resonated with everyone,” Jenelle said. “In that scene, I was like, ‘I need to do something marijuana-related,’ and I thought the best thing would be to start a brand called This Time of the Day.”
“I feel like this is a great time to show who you are and who you want to be,” Adriana said.
“The future of this is going to be great,” said Jenelle, who also expressed her desire to eliminate the shame surrounding mothers who smoke marijuana.
Jenelle said she wanted to launch a pre-rolled package and then expand from there.

The season two episode, titled “Viva Las Vegas,” opened with Jade Cline, 27, in her Indiana home with husband Sean Austin as they attempted to homeschool their daughter Kloie together. She was also excited to have gotten her real estate license.
“I basically do a bit of everything now,” Jade said. “I homeschool Kloie, still run my salon, and now I’m in real estate.”
Later, Kloie was taken to an assessment for a private school. A few days after the assessment, they discovered that Kloie had passed the test “with flying colors.”
Meanwhile, Catelynn Baltierra, 32, was at home in Michigan with her daughters Rya, Vaeda and Nova and her husband Tyler, 32. They talked about Vaeda’s development and how she didn’t seem comfortable in loud environments and how her teachers had recommended a special IEP evaluation for her.
They later went to see what Vaeda’s assessment was. Catelynn began to cry and said she simply did not want her daughter to go through difficult times.
Catelynn began to cry and said she just didn’t want her daughter to get into trouble.
“I think that’s normal, you’re a caring mother,” Tyler said.
“We met at Vaeda’s school and talked to her speech therapist, the principal, her teacher, and then another lady and another lady who do sensory assessments,” Catelynn said in a confession. “We found out that Vaeda has trouble with loud noises, wanting to move around or fidget.”
Catelynn said her daughter expresses it through anger and yelling. She thought about creating a calming center for her in the room and making her feel special. Vaeda was emotional when she saw it.
“I want her to feel good, to do well and to be okay,” Catelynn said.
Briana DeJesus, 30, revealed that she had just learned that her mother had been battling a drug addiction for a long time and had checked into a rehab facility. She said she learned that her mother had been addicted to heroin in the past and was now on methadone.

“It’s a very shocking thing for me,” Briana said. “I feel like I’m entering a very dark place.”
Briana met her sister at her mother’s house to help her clean up. She asked her sister if she wanted to attend Al-Anon with her and she agreed. After her first session, Briana said she needed to learn more.
“Let’s see what happens,” Briana said, leaning her head on the counter.
Mackenzie McKee, 29, went to the beach with her three kids and boyfriend Khesanio. Khesanio’s mom, Angie, was coming to town and Mackenzie was nervous about hosting her, but she ended up fitting right in with the family.
“Do you see Mackenzie as your future wife?” Angie asked him when they were alone at lunch.
“I can definitely see it,” Khesanio said. “I have no doubt.”
He said that they were both repeating their lives, but he didn’t know when to do it. Angie told him to do it soon.
Mackenzie made tea for Angie.
“You make Khes happy, they’re both happy and I’m happy too,” Angie said.
“Thank you,” Mackenzie said.
Mackenzie said in a confessional that she was very happy that Angie came willing to be the children’s grandmother. Khesanio took his mother to secretly look for an engagement ring.
