It has been revealed that Teen Mom alumnus Ryan Edwards was arrested for stalking after he texted his estranged wife Mackenzie Edwards, which was a violation of the protection order.
Us weekly reports that the former reality star was arrested on Wednesday, March 1, for stalking, which is a violation of a protective order in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
According to legal documents, Edwards texted his estranged wife Mackenzie Edwards (née Standifer) more than once after being warned on Feb. 10 that he could not legally have contact with her.
“My god, I don’t have to live my life without you! Sorry!’ he wrote in one text message on February 19. The father-of-three then contacted her again in a text message on Feb. 23, writing, “For what it’s worth, I’m sorry and I miss you.”
This latest arrest comes just days after his wife MacKenzie filed for divorce from Edwards, obtained a restraining order against him and also received temporary custody of the couple’s children, Jagger, five, and Stella, two, as reported by E! News.
Arrested again! Former Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards, 35, was arrested on Wednesday, March 1, for violating a protection order issued to his estranged wife Mackenzie Edwards in Hamilton County, Tennessee;
Ryan was previously issued a protective order by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office staff on Feb. 9, ordering him to immediately vacate the residence where his wife currently resides, police said in a press release.
The next day, Mackenzie went to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to report that her estranged husband was posting revealing photos of her and accusing her of cheating on his Instagram account.
“If you’ve never seen a spineless s***, this is one,” Edwards allegedly wrote alongside a photo of his estranged wife topless.
He added: “They take your money with everything that looks at them. But they must have a wife (sic). God what a joke. It’s really sad.’
Authorities then discovered that Ryan had violated the protection order by contacting his father-in-law.
While investigating the violation, deputies discovered that Ryan had a harassment warrant filed by MacKenzie with the Chattanooga Police Department.
Police would then arrest him at his workplace for the harassment warrant and violation of a protection order, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.
Following the social media post, Mackenzie, 26, reported to police multiple instances of domestic violence involving Edwards since they got married in 2017 after meeting at a gym in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In March 2018, he was arrested in connection with a probation violation based on a previous drug conviction, after which his ex-Bookout, with whom he shares a 14-year-old son Bentley, obtained a restraining order against him.
He was subsequently arrested later that year after being arrested with heroin in his possession, eventually serving a three-month prison sentence in connection with the incident.
