Teen, 19, who had a RECTANGULAR face after $ 500 cosmetic procedure shows off new look

A 19-year-old from Australia who had left a ‘face like a rectangle’ after undergoing cosmetic surgery to dissolve fat in her jaw showed off her new look seven weeks later.

Sofia Marroquin went viral around the world in June after the $ 500 “ Kybella treatment, ” which uses injections to reduce fat under the chin.

Treatment usually results in a temporary swelling that usually disappears within eight weeks.

Sofia experienced the swelling immediately after undergoing the procedure.

With a week to go until the final results, in her new video, Sofia’s face is completely slimmed down and has a defined jawline and chin.

‘I’m so happy for you girl! You trusted the process and it worked out, ‘wrote one commenter.

Show that patience goes a long way. What an incredible result, ”added another.

Although Sofia admitted in the comment section of her video that her chin is still sensitive to touch, she said she was delighted with the results:

“It’s so worth it,” the 19-year-old posted.

* Kybella is a non-surgical injection technique used to reduce excess fat under the chin.

* Each treatment takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. It uses a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid.

* No incisions are required and downtime is minimal in most cases, with some swelling to be expected.

* The best candidate is an adult 18 years of age or older with moderate to severe fat under the chin.

* Because it is a non-surgical procedure, little preparation is required for Kybella. It is advisable to plan the procedure well in advance of major events.

* Although Kybella is non-surgical, some common side effects include pain, swelling, bruising, redness, and numbness.

* Kybella’s recovery process is minimal in most cases, and downtime varies from person to person. Minor side effects usually disappear within one to two weeks.

Sofia first went viral in late June, when she shared another one clamp of her ‘rectangular face’ and filmed the reactions of her family.

‘So I just got some nice needles in my face and my family has no idea what I just did and I’m about to get their reactions,’ Sofia said in the video.

She then went through her house, filming the shocked reactions of her mother and father.

Sofia’s father gasped audibly when he saw his daughter and said ‘oh my god’, while her mother sighed, ‘oh Sofia’.

The 19-year-old’s sister burst out laughing and fell to the floor, her best friend covering her mouth as Sofia joked ‘I’m scared’.

Sofia even filmed her local cafe owner’s bewildered reaction as she tried to order coffee.

In a subsequent video, Sofia explained that her rectangular jawline was caused by temporary swelling after a ‘Kybella treatment’.

This $ 500 treatment uses injections to reduce fat under the chin.

“Okay, a lot of people don’t know why I made my face look like a rectangle,” Sofia said.

‘I didn’t purposely make my face look like a rectangle. I’ve had a treatment called Kybella, which removes fat from the lower part of your face.

“A lot of people get it in the lower neck area to remove a double chin, but I have it in my jaw area.”

Sofia said her area was ‘very oily’ and covered her jawline, so she wanted to have the treatment done.

“I wanted to take that fat off a little bit to make it look a little bit better,” she said.
