Teddi Mellencamp allegedly had an explosive affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder, and now his wife, Karli, has officially filed for divorce.
The RHOBH alum, 43, announced her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Edwin Arroyave, last month on November 2.
And shortly after, a source claimed to DailyMail.com that her infidelity with Schroeder had been the catalyst behind her shocking split from Arroyave, with whom she shares three children.
Almost two months after news of Teddi and Edwin’s separation, as well as the affair scandal, came to light, Simon Schroeder’s wife has taken the step of filing for divorce, according to documents obtained by Us weekly.
Karli – who had been pregnant with her second child at the time of the alleged infidelity – filed the paperwork on Monday, December 30, in Los Angeles County.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the separation, with their marriage date being April 14, 2024. The mother of two also cited her separation date as September 22, 2024.

Karli and Simon had previously been married before it was annulled in February this year. However, two months later, they said ‘I do’ once again.
According to the outlet, she is requesting primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their children: Lena, three years old, and Henry, seven months old.
Schroeder’s wife also asked for spousal support and for Simon to pay her attorney’s fees.
It comes after Teddi also announced her divorce from Edwin Arroyave, whom she had married in 2011.
The former couple share three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, four. Upon marriage, Mellencamp also became stepmother to Edwin’s other daughter, 15-year-old Isabella, from a previous relationship.
On November 2, she took to her main Instagram page and wrote to her fans and followers, “After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.”
“My priority is my children and ensuring that every possible care is taken with their privacy and well-being throughout this new chapter.”
Teddi added: “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt that being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”

On November 1, Mellencamp officially filed for divorce, citing the date of separation as October 20. He also requested primary legal and physical custody of his children.
Edwin also filed for divorce and, for his part, indicated the date of separation as November 1 and requested joint legal and physical custody of their children.
Also last month, a source claimed to DailyMail.com that Teddi’s months-long affair with Simon had been the reason for her split from Arroyave.
Mellencamp and Schroeder’s alleged infidelity scandal occurred behind their spouse’s back.
The horse trainer was married to Karli at the time the affair occurred. While Karli was in labor with her second child in California, Simon had been in Florida with Teddi.
“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth,” the source claimed.
‘When Simon returned, Karli found text messages on Simon’s phone outlining the affair. She confronted Simon and Teddi about it and they confessed. Teddi promised it wouldn’t happen again.
The source added: ‘Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found evidence that the affair was continuing and had become “emotional.”
