Well that’s inconvenient! Teaser for new season of The Block sees contestant explain that her ‘partner’ is actually her father after a blockhead says ‘he hits above his weight’

Hit Channel Nine renovation show The Block will return bigger and better than ever in 2020.

And a dramatic new promo released by the network this week shows that a gorgeous new contestant is being forced to awkwardly explain her relationship to her partner.

The images open on a beautiful blonde who collides with an older man. “Meet Melbourne’s Harry and Tash, The Block’s very first …” a voiceover begins.

If Tash, 32, jumps out of the car, the other participants will take the opportunity to watch the competition.

“An attractive young couple,” says one man, before a woman drops in: “She’s beautiful.”

Then a third ‘blockhead’ adds, ‘He hits a little above his weight’, causing Tash to awkwardly explain the truth behind her and Harry’s relationship.

“Can we make one thing clear: he is my father!” she declares and reveals that they are the first father and daughter duo to appear on the program.

Meanwhile, it looks like it won’t be long before some friction sets on the set.

The teaser trailer also features a very annoyed Tash trying to teach her dad to use FaceTime during a call.

Harry is later repeatedly called her name while an annoyed Tash begs, “Give me a second.”
