TEAMSHEET: Test yourself in Mail Sport's football memory game... Newcastle thrashed Sheffield United 8-0 in 2023 when eight different stars scored, but can YOU remember who lined up for the Magpies that day?

Here we go… no, this isn’t us announcing the last transfer of the summer, but Mail Sport’s squad for the latest episode of Teamsheet, our exclusive football memory game with a twist that gives you the chance to brag about your friends.

We hope you enjoyed the challenge of naming various starting XIs from the Premier League era this week. Today (and every day) we’re back at it again. As a reminder, we’re providing you with an approximate team line-up and letting you know how many letters each player’s name has, but you must name your starting XI in the fewest attempts.

Every time you get it right, a point is added to your score, meaning 11 is the PERFECT number. Once you’re done and have shown your friends, family and colleagues how you did, you can choose a team and we’ll create a second team sheet for you.

You can play two matches a day and choose ANY club, from Chelsea to Brighton, that has played in the Premier League since 2006. Premier League matches from 1992 to 2006 will be available in the coming weeks.

Today we look back at a memorable day for Newcastle United, when they secured a shock 8-0 away win against Sheffield United in September 2023, with eight different players scoring for Eddie Howe’s side – but do you remember who the Englishman picked that day?

Best of luck!

HOW TO PLAY

The objective of the game is to score as many points as possible. few points as possible!

If you guess a player on the first try, you get one point, so the lowest score for guessing each The player on the first attempt is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the correct position and it will turn green. Guess a correct letter but in the wrong position and it will turn yellow.

You have six attempts for each player. If you can’t remember a player, you can ask for a free letter, but it will cost you one point and one attempt. And if you use all six attempts, we’ll tell you their name, but it will cost you 11 points.

Continue playing to see if you can achieve the best possible total of 11, or fail with all players and achieve 121.

You can play two games a day, so be sure to check back tomorrow..
