A high school teacher lost her license over allegations that she had a long-term sexual relationship with a former student.
Lindsay Amber Eileen Dolson had been teaching at an anonymous school in Canada at the time, during which she “committed acts that, in all the circumstances, members would reasonably consider disgraceful,” a disciplinary committee wrote.
Additionally, they called his actions from approximately 2014 to 2015 “disgraceful or unprofessional” and “engaged in conduct unbecoming (of) a member (of the Ontario College of Teachers).”
The committee added that she “abused (the student) psychologically or emotionally” to the point that she suffered “adverse emotional and psychological effects.”
According to a notice detailing how she was found guilty of misconduct, Dolson sent the student inappropriate messages about her “sexual orientation, sexual preferences, and/or sexual history,” including having a threesome with her husband.

“From around February 2014 to around June 2014, (Dolson) had inappropriate interactions with Student 1 while he was a student at the school,” the notice said after his June 6 disciplinary hearing.
He added that he had “inappropriate interactions with the student” and was concerned that the student might talk about an alleged sexual encounter.
At one point, he allegedly told the student, referred to as Student 1 in internal investigation documents, that he had pierced his nipples, gave him his phone number and drove him around in his personal car.
She also sent photos of her breasts to Student 1, the committee discovered, along with other equally risqué images.
Some were allegedly sent to the student while she was doing yoga, and one asked for a photo of the student’s own breasts.
The teacher, who worked at Cambridge until her status changed to inactive in 2020, also allegedly encouraged the student to masturbate and coached her, while telling her to keep their correspondence secret.
A threesome with Dolson’s husband arose in a conversation, the context of which remains unknown.
Dolson also allegedly asked the student about her sexual orientation, preferences, and sexual history, and encouraged her to try it with another woman as well.

The filing adds how their alleged affair began on August 2, 2014, when the student went to Dolson’s house and was “allegedly offered an alcoholic beverage.”
The student and teacher then allegedly began undressing and kissing on the teacher’s bed, after which Dolson began ‘performing oral sex on her and penetrating her.’
The hearing notice, which did not include a police investigation, added that the student was also offered a vibrator during the interaction, and howOver the next four years, Dolson became increasingly interested in the former student’s sex life.
The couple’s relationship continued through text messages, many of which were compiled and read by the school board.
At one point, the educator asked the student if they could “get back together,” after which, on April 23, 2020, the university changed Dolson’s status to inactive and non-practicing.
The school where Dolson taught and the age of the student were not specified due to the sensitive nature of the investigation.
Dolson has not been charged over the relationship and the sexual aspects of it have not been proven in criminal court.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Trent University in 2002.
