Taylor Swift took to social media on Friday to share a touching message to her “best friend” Hugh Jackman, to mark the release of his film Deadpool & Wolverine.

The American pop star, 34, shared a photo on Instagram of herself posing with lead actors Jackman, 55, and Ryan Reynolds, 48, and captioned it with heartfelt words.

“Over the past few years I’ve watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of her heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film,” Swift began.

“He’s created the best work of his life, and this film feels like a true portal of joy, a wild escape from reality and an abs sandwich.”

Swift then jokingly referred to the other celebrities in the photo (Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively and the film’s director Shawn Levy) as “random characters” because her admiration for Jackman was so high.

“I don’t know how he did it, but that’s just how Hugh is. Those other strangers ruined the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave.”

‘Deadpool and Wolverine are out now! Get tickets if you love incredibly awesome movies!’

Swift’s heartfelt note quickly went viral and caught the attention of Reynolds himself, who shared it and added, “OMG this may have killed Hugh,” while Jackman quickly agreed by adding a “100” emoji to his own post.

This comes after Hugh revealed why Swift didn’t make him “feel great” about his career after attending an NFL game with her last year.

Jackman made the comments at the New York world premiere of his new film, Deadpool & Wolverine, on Monday.

The Australian actor, alongside his co-star Ryan, was asked about attending a Kansas City Chiefs game in October of last year to cheer on Swift’s tight end boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Jackman, Reynolds, his wife Blake and several other celebrities were invited to Swift’s VIP lounge to watch the game at the time.

“If you ever really want to feel not good about your career, go to an (NFL) game with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, and then you’ll be Blake Lively, Taylor Swift ‘and others’ at the game,” Hugh told People magazine on the red carpet Monday.

The X-Men star was poking fun at the fact that he was referred to as ‘and others’ on various media sites that uploaded photos from the game night.

This comes as the Jackman and Reynolds film looks set to have a triumphant opening weekend, according to VarietyExperts have predicted that the film will open its weekend with a gross of $165 million, which would be the best of the year.
