Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s whirlwind relationship has taken the nation – and the world – by storm, with the loved-up couple stealing headlines at every football game and public outing.
As their blossoming romance continues to set the internet on fire, it’s hard for NFL fans, the Swifties and lovers of neither to avoid the new couple.
The pop sensation, 33, has been spotted cheering on her toned boyfriend, 34, at three Kansas City Chiefs games and with the pair making their first PDA-packed public outing this weekend, things appear to be getting serious.
But what does the public really think of the relationship? Is it overhyped? Is it ruining the NFL? Or are they the world’s new power couple? DailyMail.com took to the streets of New York to find out…
The love story craze reached such a level that even Saturday Night Live spoofed the “Tayvis” mania, with a cameo from Kelce himself.

And one New Yorker thought the attention had reached such ridiculous levels that she compared the buzz to reporting about a zombie apocalypse.
“I definitely think it’s too much, but I also think it’s a precursor to the zombie apocalypse,” she said of the craze the relationship has created.
“I know some of Taylor Swift’s songs, but I can’t say I’m a big fan and I didn’t know who this guy was until I saw a skit on Saturday Night Live.”
She admitted she didn’t know much about the details of the relationship and joked, “If they’re in a relationship, good for them.” I’m sure if they’re in a relationship and things aren’t going well, we’ll hear about it in an album. So I’ll wait for all the details if that happens.’
And a younger girl echoed the belief that the hype had reached excessive levels, admitting she was skeptical whether the relationship was real or just a PR stunt.
“I feel like there’s just a lot of fad around it,” she said. ‘I’m skeptical to say the least.
“I think they blew it out of proportion. They just want to live their lives. I think I’m a bigger fan of Travis Kelce than Taylor Swift, so I just hope the man enjoys his fame because I feel like Taylor Swift has brought so many people around him.
“Did you see the Taylor Swift commercial before the Games? I think it’s fun for now, but it’ll get boring quickly.”
Two women in New York told DailyMail.com that the craze surrounding the couple had gone too far
However, not everyone was so critical of the newfound love, with others claiming that the ‘power couple’ should be able to enjoy themselves.
“They’re just a man and a woman looking for love,” said an older gentleman. “They are definitely a power couple. She’s like crazy in commercials, Kelce gets a lot of TV ads off the field. So I think they make a nice couple.’
He claimed that the relationship would certainly benefit the two-time Super Bowl winner off the field, and joked that the tight end could trade his teammates for a new singing partner.
“I don’t know at all how this will affect his football career,” he added. “It will probably help him, not professionally in his game, but off the field. Maybe he’ll sing with her, maybe he’ll do a duet!’
He also claimed that the media attention surrounding the 12-time Grammy Award winner every time she looked at her husband from the stands did not detract from the action on the field.
“No, I don’t think so, it is what it is,” he responded when asked whether it ruined football matches. “Whoever is in the luxury box, they show it. See, his mom is there every game and hangs out with Taylor. But I don’t think it’s too much, I think it will decrease. Let them have some fun.
“The things on the field are on the field. If you want to watch the game, go watch the game.
“Everyone is hoping for a wardrobe malfunction from Taylor jumping up and down. Janet Jackson part 2.’

Another younger New Yorker agreed, claiming that if anything, the newfound romance was a boost for football, suggesting that both the NFL and the Chiefs have gained new fans.
“I love it,” he said in Washington Square Park, near NYU’s campus. “I think they’re two good-looking people, ready to take on their wonderful lives. I’m excited for them. I’m a big Swiftie, my roommates are Swifties. So go KC!
‘I think Taylor Swift is a businesswoman through and through. She knows what she’s doing, she probably sells out stadiums faster than Travis Kelce.
“My roommates told me she increased her viewership by a few million, so I think it has good potential for the NFL. I think they definitely play into it as well when it comes to getting her fan base in the NFL. The NFL probably loves getting extra viewers.”
One man suggested the relationship was a light-hearted break from other headlines, saying “to distract from the negativity that’s enough for now,” while another admitted that while there is a lot of attention surrounding the pair, it isn’t “toxic ‘ is. ‘.

It seems like the Tayvis mania won’t end anytime soon. After two date nights in New York City and surprise appearances on SNL, the Anti-Hero hitmaker sparked rumors that she was heading back to Kansas City with her boyfriend.
The NFL star was spotted leaving Swift’s Tribeca apartment to head back home in preparation for practice with the Chiefs on Tuesday ahead of their game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Arrowhead on Sunday afternoon.
Several Louis Vuitton suitcases were loaded into an SUV at Swift’s apartment and minutes later her new Range Rover emerged from the underground parking garage before both cars headed to the airport, fueling speculation that she could be traveling with Kelce.
Most people seemed to support the lovebirds on Monday, but since the whirlwind romance shows no signs of slowing down, how much longer will fans be enchanted by the love story?
