Taylor Swift thanked her loyal fans for helping her reach a new career high as she marveled at the success of her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Following the news that her latest album had scored its 12th consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200, the 34-year-old pop star admitted she was “completely shocked” by the feat.

After spending the past three days performing sold-out shows at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, the Grammy winner applauded Swifties for what they’ve done to keep her album at number one since its release on April 19.

“I’m completely blown away by what you’ve done. It stayed at number one for the first 12 weeks since it was released and that’s never happened to any album of mine before, not even close!” she wrote enthusiastically on Instagram. “You’re simply the best.”

The Cruel Summer singer also praised the three Gelsenkirchen crowds, calling them “amazing” and “thoughtful” in her latest post.

“There were paper hearts and signs, Betty’s greeting and lots of handmade willow balls with balloons and phone lanterns. Thank you!” she wrote.

On Friday night, hundreds of fans held up their own “Willow orbs” as she sang her hit song, Willow, from Evermore.

Her creative fans blew up balloons and used their phone flashlights to replicate their own props, similar to those Swift and her dancers wear on stage.

In footage captured by X, attendees from all sections, including the nosebleed sections, could be seen holding makeshift orbs.

Swift’s in-house marketing team, Taylor Nation, shared footage from the fan project in X as well.

According USA TodayThe number of orbs increased on each of the three concert nights in Gelsenkirchen.

Seeing a fan’s project, Swift acknowledged the touching gesture before her acoustic set.

“There have been people who have brought balloons to the Eras Tour to make their own orbs for Willow,” she said. “I was cracking up the whole time. You guys are so thoughtful.”

The Tortured Poets Department marks Swift’s first album to chart on the Billboard 200 for the twelfth consecutive week.

Previously, her albums 1989 and Fearless each debuted at number one for 11 weeks.

Her new record surpassed that of the late music legend Whitney Houston, whose second album, Whitney, was previously the longest-running album by a female artist, debuting at No. 1 in 1987 and staying there for 11 weeks.

Houston’s album, which included the hit “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” debuted on the Billboard chart the week of June 27, 1987, and spent 11 weeks at the top spot, the outlet reported.

The Tortured Poets Department remains in the rare company of records that spent a minimum of 12 weeks at the top of the chart.

The others are One Thing at a Time by country singer Morgan Wallen, which was number one for its initial 12 weeks and is expected to rack up 19 total weeks at the top spot between 2023 and 2024.

Musical icon Stevie Wonder’s 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life stayed at the top spot for 13 consecutive weeks and spent 14 total weeks at the top spot between 1976 and 1977, according to Billboard.
