The source claimed that ‘Brittany knew better than to discuss politics’ at a recent party Taylor hosted for Blake Lively at her Rhode Island mansion because she didn’t want to ‘risk a confrontation over opposing viewpoints.’
“In Taylor’s house in Rhode Island, everyone had an unspoken rule to avoid politics,” they said. “That topic was off the table.”
“It’s not just Taylor who hasn’t expressed her full support for either candidate, but Travis as well. They both know how much influence they have.”
According to the source, Taylor’s Eras Tour opened her eyes to the fact that she has millions of fans who don’t share the same views, and she’s learned to respect that.
“She loves her fans and has filled stadiums in both Republican and Democratic states, and has performed in countries where communism is rampant,” they continued.
“They are united by their love for her music. If Taylor is willing to support a candidate, she will. Now is not the time to do so.”
Another source added: ‘Taylor deals with so many people in her career and in her life who are so different that she addresses them with love – if you’re a good person, you’ll most likely get her respect.
‘She and Brittany talk about other things and never about politics, so Taylor is not going to let this be a deal breaker for their friendship.’
Brittany, 28, has not publicly said she supports Trump, 78, or that she will vote Republican, but she has liked a series of pro-Trump posts that have sparked controversy.

The comment sparked outrage among liberals on social media, and Brittany appeared to lash out at her critics with a fierce response.
“I mean, honestly, to be a hater as an adult you must have some deep-seated issues that you refuse to heal from childhood,” she wrote.

Trump has also responded harshly to her on frequent occasions, even weighing in on her high-profile romance with Travis Kelce.
“I wish them both the best. I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not, most likely not,” she said during an interview with the Daily Caller.
Earlier this month, Taylor hinted she would remain silent on issues she believes could be “provoking” after her three shows in Vienna were abruptly cancelled due to a foiled terror attack.

In an interview on the WHOOP podcast, she credited Patrick with helping her block out any criticism she receives online.
“He’s really good at blocking people out, so having him by my side has helped,” she said. “The main thing he’s always told me is to stop worrying about what people think, especially people who don’t even know you.”
