Taylor Swift fans slam concertgoer’s ‘selfish’ and ‘disrespectful’ behaviour during Eras Tour in Sydney – but not everyone agrees

An Australian Taylor Swift fan has been criticized for singing loudly during the singer’s sold-out show in Sydney during the Australian leg of her Eras Tour.

In footage shared on TikTok, a girl is heard shouting lyrics to a song during the second night at Accor Stadium, and many agreed it was too much.

‘Do not be selfish. Have concert etiquette please,” TikTok user lucjaz_kk wrote in his caption alongside the clip.

“I agree…sing, dance, have a great time but also be aware of the situation and be respectful of those around you,” another TikTok user added in the comments.

“Concert etiquette is important, but sometimes people don’t even realize how loud they are being. In the videos of my concerts I was making a lot of noise and I didn’t even realize,” said one more.

“I accidentally spilled my drink on it and it worked,” another joked while one more person pointed out: “There’s a big difference between singing and yelling obnoxiously.”

“People used to sing softly or lip sync to songs because they were aware that people spent money to hear the artist sing, not them,” another chimed in.

‘A group of girls behind me did that and I turned around and asked them to please stop. From the beginning too, don’t regret it at all,” someone else wrote.

However, not everyone agreed and several pointed out that the fan paid for the tickets and has the right to have fun.

“I paid for my ticket and I’m signing whatever volume my brain decides,” one person said.

It comes after an angry Swiftie posted on social media to slam another Taylor Swift fan’s “selfish” behavior during a sold-out performance in Melbourne.

The superstar, 34, wowed 96,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last week with a moving performance of her ballad Tolerate It.

However, one fan wasn’t impressed because another Swiftie sang the song’s lyrics out of tune, documenting the infuriating moment on TikTok.

In the clip, Taylor’s voice is drowned out by the sound of the fan shouting the song, much to the chagrin of one ticket holder.

“I honestly don’t care how much you like the song, concerts are a public space and the people around you pay a lot of money,” the upset fan captioned the video.

The user’s followers were divided over the images, with some sharing their agreement while others noted that concerts are a community atmosphere.

‘This makes me very sad. “This is literally how you should behave at concerts,” one fan criticized.
