Taylor Swift fans lit up social media after she took to Instagram to endorse Kamala Harris following Tuesday’s presidential debate.

The 34-year-old pop superstar called herself a “childless cat lady,” in reference to widely criticized comments by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance, inspiring numerous social media users to rally behind her.

‘Women who don’t have cats, unite!’ wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter) in response to Swift’s surprise endorsement.

To underline her point, she posed with her furry Ragdoll cat, Benjamin Button.

Her social media post received praise from her fans after some Swifties criticized Taylor for getting close to her friend Brittany Mahomes, despite her support for Donald Trump.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” he said.

Swift added that she supported Harris “because she fights for rights and causes that I think need a warrior to defend them,” and praised her running mate Walz for “defending LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
