Taylor Swift fans find a loophole which guarantees them a ticket to the coveted Eras Tour: ‘Literally had a panic attack’
While Swifties across the nation bemoaned missing out on coveted tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, Perth fans managed to find a loophole which scored them seats.
As most competed online and sat for hours in virtual waiting rooms, other savvy concert-goers took the old fashioned route and lined up at brick and mortar stores.
Eager fans, including Seven West Media staff Maria Bravo and Kate Phillips, visited a physical Ticketek store to score their seats, reported PerthNow on Friday.
The pair visited Bassendean Newsagency on Friday, sauntering in at 12pm to find only 60 people lined up compared to the thousands in online waiting rooms.
Kate, who was attempting to get a ticket for her 13-year-old daughter, said while there weren’t as many people lined up, it was still as ‘chaotic’ as she imagined.

‘There were about 60 people altogether, but the line extended from outside the door,’ she said.
Her friend and line-mate Maria said most of those waiting were older people and parents who grew up using the outdated ticketing method.
‘There were even people on their laptops, still trying to get a ticket through the website,’ she said.

She continued: ‘I started to get a bit anxious they were going to run out by the time we got inside. I think Kate literally had a panic attack at one point!’
But their fears were for nothing as the pair managed to quickly score seats in the F reserve – the only spots remaining – when they made it inside.
It comes as tickets to Taylor’s, 33, The Eras Tour in February next year have officially sold out to the dismay of thousands of fans.
All dates for the pop icon’s concert sold out within hours after Ticketek opened general sales at 10am on Friday for Sydney and 2pm for Melbourne.
