Taylor Swift fans are convinced that the superstar may be collaborating with country legend Dolly Parton on her upcoming re-recorded album, Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version).
Earlier this week, eagle-eyed Swifties noticed that the 78-year-old Jolene crooner started following the 14-time Grammy winner on Instagram.
This led to feverish speculation on social media that the two music icons may have a collaboration in the works.
“I will never shut up when Queen Dolly is on Debut TV,” one fan tweeted on Wednesday, while another person wrote: “IF DOLLY IS ON DEBUT TV I WILL NEVER RECOVER, IT WILL BE THE BEST THING EVER HAPPENED. ‘

It’s no surprise that Parton is a fan of Swift, as she previously praised the Cardigan singer while accepting the hitmaker award at Billboard’s 2020 Women in Music event.

During her speech, Parton affectionately shouted out “all the amazing women in show business who write all these beautiful songs.”
“Cindy Walker, who wrote some of the best songs ever, and of course Loretta Lynn, an amazing songwriter,” Parton said. “And this day, of course, Taylor Swift is right at the top, probably number one.”
She continued, “I think it’s so important that we recognize the women who write and sing in country music. And I also think it is very important that they take control of their own company.’
More recently, Swift gushed about Parton during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2023.
“Dolly is a force for evolution and transformation in our industry, but she does it with such playful levity that it almost seems effortless,” the pop star told the outlet.
Swift added, “Her sense of humor and mischief are easily my favorite things about her because I think it forces the world to reconcile with the fact that a woman can be a serious artist and writer who also has raw fun with it.” can make people laugh and be involved in every joke.’
In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Parton said it’s “amazing what (Swift) has done with her career.”
‘I admire her enormously and how she handles her business, her personal life and what she has meant to so many young people. (She has) been a great inspiration,” the 9 to 5 star said.

In 2015, Parton marveled at Swift’s success and how she “knew exactly who she was, she had her dream, and she stuck to it.”
‘That’s what you have to do. “I’m just so proud of her,” she said Peopleat the time.
Rumors that the pair might be brewing come after Swift wrapped up her record-breaking 21-month Eras Tour.
At this point, she only has two albums left from her discography to re-record, her debut and sixth album, Reputation.
On previous re-recordings, she has enlisted various artists, from Keith Urban and Phoebe Bridgers to Hayley Williams, to appear on previously unreleased Vault tracks.

Earlier this week, Swifties also began predicting that 2025 will be the year she finally begins production on her highly anticipated feature directorial debut.
It was first announced in 2022 that the Anti-Hero singer had agreed with Searchlight Pictures to direct her first-ever feature film.
Variety reported at the time that Swift had already written an original script.
To keep the project secret, no plot or casting details were revealed.
In a joint statement, Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield spoke about embarking on a “creative journey” with Swift.
“Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller. It is a true joy and privilege to work with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” they wrote.

Neither Swift nor Searchlight Pictures have provided any updates on the film since the collaboration was confirmed over two years ago.
This was most likely due to Swift’s hectic work schedule, which included the release of two new albums, two re-recorded albums, a concert film and a massive world tour.
But fans believe Swift has kept her 2025 calendar ‘open’ in the hope of finally bringing her highly anticipated feature film to light.
She also appears to be back on her typical two-year album cycle, meaning no new music projects until at least 2026.
