Taylor Swift fans are sparking backlash for writing about the singer on the 2024 presidential election ballot.
Several Swifties have taken to social media to post their votes for the Blank Space hitmaker, with the 34-year-old prevailing over official candidates such as Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Jill Stein.
‘I am voting for the first time and I did not dare to vote for any of the candidates presented on the ballot. “Thinking about everything Taylor has done for the American economy these past few years, I decided to #Vote for Miss Americana,” one of them said.
Another fan wrote: “I’m so excited to finally be able to vote because I can’t think of anyone more deserving.”
“We should create a hashtag for this #SwiftiesForPresidentTaylor.”
Taylor Swift fans are sparking backlash for including the singer on the 2024 presidential election ballot.
Several Swifties have taken to social media to post their votes for the Blank Space hitmaker, writing to the 34-year-old about the official candidates.
The posts outraged many of Taylor’s more liberal fans, who felt the votes would be better spent if they went to Kamala.
‘This is something that rots your brain, Jesus, damn Christ. “Wasting your vote is the dumbest thing you can do after having blind loyalty to someone who is not in politics,” one raged.
“I really hope this is a joke and even if it is, it’s not even remotely funny considering over half of this fanbase’s rights are at stake,” snapped a second.
‘Thank you for putting a vote in Trump’s pocket. Because that’s it,” added a third.
A fourth wrote: “This is really disgusting.” The people who died so that we could vote, what shame and what selfishness.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Taylor’s representatives for comment.
Taylor dramatically endorsed Kamala moments after the presidential debate in September.
Fans online were furious and feared that Swifties wasting their votes on Taylor could lead to Donald Trump’s victory.
He mocked Republicans in his endorsement by including a photo of his cat, a swipe at GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance, who mocked “childless cat ladies.”
“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” he wrote.
She signed her post as “childless cat lady.”
In addition to Taylor, Kamala has garnered a slew of endorsements from celebrities like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, and Rosie O’Donnell.
Meanwhile, Trump has garnered endorsements from Amber Rose, Kid Rock, Hulk Hogan and Rob Schneider.
