Taylor Swift’s reputation may never have been worse, at least among Republicans, according to a new poll after the megastar endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
DailyMail.com’s exclusive poll by JL Partners shows the full extent of the global superstars’ poor relationship with the Republican Party after weighing in on the 2024 race earlier this month.
Swift has been found to have become a victim of polarization: 57 percent of Republicans have a negative view of the 34-year-old global superstar, while 71 percent of Democrats have a positive view of the “The Tortured Poets Department” singer.
Among independents, 50 percent have a favorable or somewhat favorable view of the singer, while 27 percent have a negative view of her.

“It’s finally happened: Taylor Swift went from Miss Americana to The Archer in the political crossfire,” said James Johnson, co-founder of JL Partners.
“It’s now viewed like so much else in American discourse, from the economy to the news networks: through a partisan lens,” he added.
The poll, conducted Sept. 13-15 among 1,054 likely voters, comes just days after Swift announced she would vote for Harris in the presidential election.
Swift made her blockbuster announcement on Instagram just moments after the presidential debate ended on Sept. 10, writing in a post: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.”
The survey was conducted from September 13 to 15 with 1,054 potential voters.
She signed the post as ‘The Childless Cat Lady’ in a criticism of Trump and his running mate JD Vance.
According to polls, several groups of voters are baffled by the endorsement and its impact, but it remains a love story between Swift and the young people who were ready to receive it.
About 52 percent of people between 18 and 29 said they were more likely to vote for the Democratic presidential candidate because of her endorsement.

“While this may not have had much of an immediate impact, if Swift is active in October encouraging young people to vote, it could make a difference in key states with narrow margins,” Johnson said.
“Harris needs your help, no doubt: our polls show that 18- to 29-year-olds strongly support Harris, but are also some of the least enthusiastic about voting for her in November. If that changes, Donald Trump will not be out of the woods yet,” he added.
Hispanic and black voters also said they were more likely to back Harris with Swift’s endorsement.
At the same time, more independent voters said they were less likely to back Harris because of the endorsement: 27 percent said they were less likely, while 24 percent said they were more likely.
While Swift’s endorsement has revealed the distance between the singer and some key voters, other endorsements appear to have a bigger impact on the presidential race, according to the poll.
Robert Kennedy Jr.’s announcement that he is backing Trump appears to have the biggest effect so far, at 22 percent.

For Harris, the endorsements with the greatest effect appear to have come from former President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Twenty percent said that had the greatest effect.
As for Swift’s endorsement, only four percent said it had the biggest effect, similar to the four percent who said Oprah Winfrey’s endorsement of Harris had the biggest effect.
But that hasn’t stopped the singer’s support from receiving the most attention, even from the Republican candidate.
After announcing his support for the Democrat, Trump posted on social media over the weekend: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
