Taylor Swift Eras Tour 2024: Proof Australia has gone crazy for the pop star as throngs of fans are shown flocking to Melbourne airport late at night to catch a glimpse of her plane.

Melbourne fans braved the cold weather and came out to greet Taylor Swift as she arrived Down Under ahead of her sold-out Australian Eras tour.

The group of dedicated fans waved signs, took photos and applauded as the 34-year-old megastar touched down on his private jet at 1 a.m. Thursday.

Footage showed teenage Swifties standing on a fence to get a better look at the Cruel Summer singer.

A couple of young fans could be seen being held up by their friends to prevent them from falling off the narrow barrier amid all the excitement.

One of the fans held a cardboard sign that said: “I love you Taylor, welcome to Australia.”

Meanwhile, an image has emerged showing a pair of determined Swifties huddled under a blanket to combat Melbourne’s chilly 14 degree weather on Friday.

The photo showed the pair of determined young fans shivering outside as a father watched from the warmth of his car.

Taylor traveled in style aboard a Bombardier Global 6000, a luxurious private jet that seats 17 passengers.

She was whisked to her accommodation after her 12-hour flight, where she will rest until taking to the stage in front of 85,000 screaming fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.

The performance will kick off the first of Taylor’s seven sold-out shows in Australia.

Taylor’s flight (VJT993) from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Melbourne became the most followed flight in the world, with nearly 1,500 of his enthusiastic fans watching his journey across the Pacific.

The singer will have less than two days to overcome her jet lag before taking to the stage for her first show in Australia since 2018.

Taylor, who is dating Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, completely missed Valentine’s Day due to her travels and was up in the air throughout the romantic day.

It took off from Hawaii at 4:52pm local time on February 13 and didn’t land until the early hours of February 15 AEDT due to the 21-hour time difference, meaning it missed the big day.

But she had just spent a few days with her boyfriend Travis in Los Angeles as she celebrated with him after he won the NFL Super Bowl, before heading to Australia.

Excitement for their Australian Eras tour is already building, as thousands of Swifties are set to flock to the Melbourne Cricket Ground from February 16-18 and Sydney’s Accor Stadium from February 23-26 for their shows.

More than 600,000 tickets have been sold for their performances and some fans are taking the desperate step of chartering their own flights to get to their shows, according to travel agency Flight Centre.
