A new mother who went into labor at one of Taylor Swift’s concerts in Melbourne has spoken about her baby’s rapid entry and her touching tribute to the pop star.

Tenille Smith gave birth to Sloane Tayla early Saturday morning, just hours later joining 96,000 fans at the MCG for the first show of Swift’s Australian leg of The Era Tour.

The mother of two appeared on Sunrise on Tuesday with her husband Josh and Sloane, three days old, to remember the dramatic experience and why her baby’s middle name is spelled differently than the Grammy Award-winning pop star’s .

“Look, it’s actually my middle name, so boy or girl, that’s what it was going to be, but now there’s a better story behind it, something for your 21st birthday,” Smith said.

On Friday night, a very pregnant but excited Smith shared a selfie of herself before the concert outside the MCG, unaware that she would soon experience contractions.

’39+5 and we got to Taylor Swift,’ she captioned the post.

During the concert, she texted her husband to tell him they might have to rush to the hospital afterwards.

Ms. Smith recalled that at first she was “in sort of denial.”

“We had a chance to sit down and I texted my husband telling him that he would have to pick me up after the concert and that we would have to go (to the hospital),” she said.

“I just said I’m going to have to leave right away, there’s no way I’m taking public transportation and having a baby there.”

Smith said he didn’t realize Tenille was in labor until he picked her up outside the stadium.

“Once I got there, I realized I was in labor and I didn’t bring (any clothes) with me,” she said.

“I wanted to take her to the hospital, but she didn’t want to go in her cowboy boots, so we had to quickly run home and we got there just in time.”

Ms Smith left the concert at 11.30pm to go home and change.

Baby Sloane made her grand entrance less than two hours later, at 1:20 a.m., just minutes after arriving at the hospital.

“It was definitely a quick exit,” Mrs. Smith joked.

The proud mother later announced Sloane’s dramatic arrival on her Instagram account.

‘Sloane Tayla Smith. Making a quick entry on February 17, weighing 3.7kg at 01:20,” she wrote.

‘About 2 hours after Swiftie’s concert concluded. The perfect complement for our little family.’

Ms Smith also shared a photo of newborn Sloane wearing what appeared to be a tiny Swiftie friendship bracelet.
