Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce aren’t planning on getting engaged anytime soon, and a source claims constant fan speculation has ruined the intimate moment.
Travis’ brother Jason inadvertently fueled the rumors earlier this month when he failed to refute a reference to Taylor being his “sister-in-law” during a radio appearance.
But despite the incessant rumors of wedding bells, a source close to Taylor and Travis, both 34, has dashed any hopes of the couple exchanging vows – for now.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, they revealed that the incessant speculation has “devalued” any significance of a potential engagement, adding that it would not feel “authentic” if the NFL champion were to take a knee imminently.
“At this point, Taylor and Travis almost feel like an engagement wouldn’t be very authentic,” they said.

The source claimed the couple, who met last July, have discussed the possibility of tying the knot as part of their future, but are concerned the sanctity of marriage is being lost amid all the fanfare surrounding their romance.
“People are resistant to seeing Taylor with a ring on her finger and are trying to manifest it and wish it would happen,” they said. “But imagine if it were them. How does Travis even propose to her at this point?
‘Of course, they have talked about a future together and marriage is part of that.
“But it seems that the incessant speculation and rumors about their engagement and wedding somehow devalue the sanctity of it.”

Taylor’s legion of die-hard fans have been dying to wait for Travis to pop the question to their beloved singer.
NFL insider Adam Schefter helped fuel the rumors when he recently dropped a major hint that Travis may have purchased a ring.
The source added that talk of an engagement and wedding has “devalued the sanctity of it.”
Taylor, 34, became a regular at Travis’ Chiefs games last season when they won the Super Bowl.
Adam, one of the most respected journalists in the sport, jokingly questioned ESPN host Laura Rutledge when she reacted to news that Travis had purchased a racehorse with a name related to Taylor, joking that he hadn’t bought a ring yet.
“Wait, I have a question,” he said. “Laura, how do you know Travis Kelce didn’t buy an engagement ring?”
She replied, “I don’t know. Do you know? Are you going to break any big news here?”
Adam paused, looking very sheepish before adding, “I’m just saying, you said he didn’t buy an engagement ring and I’m wondering how you have that information.”
Two-time NFL champion Booger McFarland said: “Woah, woah, woah… the awkward silence out there speaks volumes. Schefty, you know something? America wants to know.”
But Adam replied: “All I did was ask him how Laura knew he hadn’t bought an engagement ring. That’s all I did.”
Most recently, Travis’ brother Jason did not respond after Taylor was referred to as his “sister-in-law.”

By not objecting to that description of Swift, Jason inadvertently launched further speculation about his brother and his girlfriend’s marriage.
“There is no correction?” one commenter wondered on X. “Hmmmm…”
Jason continued to praise the Cruel Summer singer after she won seven VMA awards last week.
“All, obviously, very, very well deserved,” Jason said. “She’s so talented it’s ridiculous, not just as a singer and songwriter, but production-wise, she’s so involved in every facet of the process.”
Taylor has resumed her role as a cheerleader at Travis’ games, avidly watching him battle to retain the Chiefs’ Super Bowl title since the new season began earlier this month.
Swift has been publicly dating the tight end since last September, when she attended a game in Kansas City against the Chicago Bears.
