Despite their different fashion styles, Crown Queen Mary of Denmark and megastar Taylor Swift have a mutual love for one bohemian designer brand.

The superstar musician, 34, and the Danish queen, 52, have been spotted vacationing in beachwear from Zimmerman’s Summer 2023 swim collection this year.

Before heading to the Paris Olympics, Queen Mary was pictured taking a relaxing dip in the ocean at Nikki Beach in Sardinia, sporting a Devi Plunge V-shaped underwire one-piece swimsuit, which retails at around £160, from the Australian brand.

And in April, Swift shared a montage of clips from personal moments from her life on social media as she released her 11th studio album Tortured Poets Departments.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot, the 34-year-old was spotted on a warm vacation sporting a Zimmerman bikini top from the same line.

Taylor’s bikini top and Mary’s one-piece swimsuit feature the same colorful paisley patchwork print, plunging underwire neckline, and thin spaghetti straps.

Mary’s swimsuit features increased coverage and a stylish removable belt with an embellished chain detail.

The mother of four typically chooses Danish designers, including Birgid Hallstein, who was behind her 2004 wedding dress and many of the royals’ favourite ball gowns, but often pays homage to her Australian roots by wearing a variety of pieces from labels Down Under.

She paired the swimsuit with a £76 Hutton Malibu hat from Canopy Bay, designed by Australian TV personality and skin cancer survivor Deborah Hutton, to protect herself from the sun.

While enjoying her time off in Sardinia, Mary went sailing in another Zimmermann piece, the £593 Tiggy paisley print mini dress.

Zimmerman has shown collections at Australian and New York fashion weeks, and while her pieces aren’t cheap, the swimsuits don’t come with an exorbitant designer price tag.

Taylor’s £165 Devi Plunge V-Shaped Underwire Bikini Top is sold out on Zimmermann’s website and at most retailers.

However, some online sellers not only have a small supply, but have even reduced their price to less than £50.

The Australian-born royal’s swimsuit is much more readily available and ranges in price from £162 to £235.

This isn’t the first time Mary and Swift’s styles have overlapped.

They are also big fans of New York designer Ellen Hunter, best known for her ornately bejeweled handmade hair accessories that have become a celebrity favorite over the years.

The lives of a superstar musician and a Danish queen may seem very different, but Mary of Denmark and Taylor Swift share one interesting similarity: New York designer Ellen Hunter.

Queen Mary has been pictured wearing Hunter’s Daphne comb, valued at £57, in the vaulted hall of Fredensborg Castle, the spring and autumn residence of the Danish royal family.

The Queen wore the hair accessory to the Armed Forces Badge of Honour dinner in September 2023, three years after Swift famously debuted the comb in her Cardigan (cabin in the candlelight) music video in 2020.

Swift paired the delicate gold comb with a velvet Ralph Lauren dress, while Queen Mary paired the accessory with a sleek black suit and her medals.

Most recently, Queen Mary wore Ellen Hunter’s Jane Comb ($248) during the Danish state visit to Norway in May 2024.

The Jane comb uses filigree (a method in which the maker twists gold wires and solders them together), making its design more intricate.

During the same visit to Norway, Queen Mary also dazzled in the Amanda comb ($338) as she posed alongside her husband, King Frederick X of Denmark, and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr.

The sparkling comb is adorned with European crystals and Pacific opals set on gold leaf, similar to Daphne’s comb.

Other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Paris Hilton, have also been previously spotted sporting Ellen Hunter’s popular designs since Swift first donned the gorgeous piece.
