Melton Lotto & TSG in Melbourne declared Australia’s luckiest newsagents after TattsLotto win
A newsagent has earned a new nickname after selling 62 winning Premier League lottery tickets.
Melton Lotto & TSG, located in Melbourne’s western suburbs, has been in business for two decades and has sold more premier division winners than any other newsagent in Australia.
Eight division one winners have come from newsagent owner Phong Thai, aka ‘Mr Lucky’ in the last three years alone.
The last winner to collect the spoils was a Melton father who is now “living the dream” after walking away with $1.7 million in last Saturday’s TattsLotto.
In Saturday’s drawing, he played the same numbers he had used for 35 years.

“I’ve had them for so long that I’ve even forgotten what they mean,” he told The Lott.
‘It’s incredible. I will be able to pay off my daughter’s house and invest the rest… It’s the happiest day of my life.
The Melton man initially didn’t realize he had won because his entry wasn’t registered, meaning Lottery officials were unable to contact him until he came forward.
He was one of three winners in the premier division last Saturday.
Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai couldn’t believe the news when he learned he had just sold another winning ticket.
‘I am happy! I can’t believe we sold another division one winning entry,” he said.
“Many of my customers call me ‘Mr. Lucky’ because of the number of division one winning entries our store has sold. »
“I’m sure many customers will feel inspired by the hope of being the next division one winner to take home a million-dollar prize.”

Another Queensland newsagent is also on a winning streak this year with two premier division winners in nine months.
Nextra Forest Lake News in Forest Lake, southwest of Brisbane, sold two division one winners in nine months when a player won $1 million in the Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto.
The last Division 1 ticket came from December’s separate Powerball drawing, where the winner walked away with a Priced at $33 million in December.
Jenny Ford, who manages the store, said she was “over the moon” after her newsagent was linked to the second win.
“Who would have thought this would happen less than a year after our previous victory,” she said.
“We sold a (winning) entry in the $100 million Powerball drawing…I don’t think we’ll ever beat that, but I hope we do!”
A winning second division entry came from SA.
