A teenager, Rhyan Singh (pictured), believed he was going to die after a gang of up to eight people allegedly stabbed him and his friend to death on his 16th birthday on Thursday.
Both teens were rushed to the hospital where they remain under treatment for their injuries.
The group allegedly ordered Mr. Singh and his friend to hand over their phones, cash and a pair of Mr. Singh’s Air Jordans, which they had just given him for his birthday.
CCTV footage acquired by Seven shows Mr. Singh’s parents arriving on the scene while paramedics were treating him.
A man can be heard in the background screaming in pain before his parents arrive, yelling, ‘that’s my son.’
The teenager told his mother ‘mommy I love you, I think I’m dying, I’ve been stabbed, I think I’m dying’.
His mother, Sushma Manandhar, told Seven that they had just bought his favorite cheesecake when his ‘world collapsed’.
“(It’s not) fair…we were planning for his birthday,” she said.
‘If people like that are around, how can we feel safe for our children? They are not human.’
The teen’s parents (pictured) had just bought their favorite cheesecake for their birthday dinner that was to take place just hours later when their “world came crashing down.”
Mr Singh underwent surgery in an attempt to save the fingers on his left hand and is expected to stay in hospital for a short period of time.
