Tamra Judge shows off bandage after breast implant and capsular removal surgery

Tamra Judge felt “tired and a little sore” after undergoing breast implant and capsule removal surgery Monday with her beloved plastic surgeon, Dr. Milind Ambe of the Newport Surgical Center.

The 53-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star snapped a selfie in a bright pink set with drains and bandages under her sports bra.

Judge, who had had her implants reduced in size during an episode of RHOC years ago, made the decision to have explant surgery due to ongoing “autoimmune problems” and what she described as breast implant disease.

‘Implants & capsules removed. Tired and a little sore as expected,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m pretty sure not working out will be the hardest thing for me.

“I know it sounds crazy, but I woke up today with rosy cheeks, no sinus congestion and happy thoughts. I hope I will continue to see health improvements over the weeks.”

Her doctor noted that “everything looks great” during a checkup, despite some swelling and gauze filling up the results.

“I’m excited to share my BII journey with you in September…stay tuned for more information,” she wrote. “Thank you @carolinecmathias @kaylaraereid and everyone who has contacted me for sharing their BII stories with me.”

Tamra claimed she suffers from breast implant disease (BII), which can include a wide variety of symptoms, including joint pain, chronic fatigue, anxiety and depression, according to breastcancer.org.

She shared a few Instagram stories after the check-up, writing, “Can’t wait to share my journey with BII with you.”

Judge revealed her decision last week via Instagram Story, where she said she’s “tired from being tired and inflamed” before sharing a topless photo from the doctor’s office.

“Pre-operative explant, bye bye boobies,” wrote Judge, who in no time covered her nipples with a set of orange emojis as she clarified that this would be her second implant removal, and the last was “9 years ago.”

“Five years ago I put in very small 125CC implants,” she wrote, noting that she “can’t wait” to get rid of those “very small implants.”

Judge suffered from “thyroid problems, swollen joints, fatigue and inflammation of the bladder, sinus and bowel” as a result of her implants, as recorded by People.

A follower, who had undergone the procedure herself, encouraged Judge to indulge in a breast mold, something she ostensibly confirmed she would be doing after surgery.

“Get a ride,” she said, followed by a finger-and-thumb gesture.

The reality star admitted in a later slide that while she “probably wouldn’t rush” to get her implants removed if she didn’t have health problems, she’s “so about having big breasts that seem to get bigger as she gets older.”

She also had her followers share their own “explantation” stories, with one encouraging Tamra to “do lymphatic drainage” as she heals.

Judge, who has had her breasts changed “five times” over the course of her life, explained to People in 2015 how her view on implants has changed over the years.

After the birth of her now 35-year-old son Ryan, Judge decided to go under the knife for her very first breast augmentation.

She had them redone several times, including after the arrival of her 21-year-old son Spencer, before deciding to have them all removed together in 2012 and replaced with smaller implants.

Tamra told the outlet that when her breasts were “big in the ’90s, I loved them,” but her desire for a roomy cleavage diminished due to changes in “lifestyle.”

“It’s a lifestyle I guess, when you get older you don’t want those big giant boobs.

‘It is what it is. It’s a personal choice and for me. I’m not doing it for the public or my husband. It’s something you do to make yourself feel better,” she explained.

Tamra famously left the Real Housewives of Orange County in January 2020 after 12 seasons on the hit Bravo reality series.

She had joined the cast in 2007 when the show was in its third season.
