She also noted that the mutation “runs in her family,” with her older sisters Emilee and Amy, as well as their mother and grandmother being born with extra fingers.

However, Tammy’s children with ex-fiancée Reece Hawkins — son Wolf, five and daughter Saskia, four — were not born with the mutation.

What is polydactyly?

Polydactyly is the condition where people have extra fingers or toes.

The extra digit is usually a piece of soft tissue that can be easily removed.

Occasionally it contains bones, but the excess finger(s) rarely function.

The condition affects only a small fraction of the population and is believed to be inherited from a dominant gene or may be a syndrome.

Famous people with the condition include comedian Drew Carey and American baseball player Antonio Alfonseca
