Tammin Sursok week from hell as her family braces for a hurricane days after her young daughter was caught in a Nashville school shooting
It’s been a big week for Home And Away star Tammin Sursock.
The Australian actress, 39, lives in Nashville with her family and was left devastated Monday after her eldest daughter’s school was closed during the Covenant school shooting.
Now, days later, Tammin reveals that her family has been placed on a hurricane watch, as intense storms sweep through Tennessee.
Posting to Instagram Stories on Saturday, Tammin filmed herself sitting on the couch at night worrying about the hurricane, while her husband Sean McEwen and their two daughters Phoenix, nine, and Lennon, four, slept.
So we are still on a hurricane watch, and my husband is asleep. My whole family is asleep. And I’m sitting here, just stressing,” she told her fans with a wry smile.

‘But did you know?’ I will give myself a blessing that perhaps I should stress. This week has been a lot. And I’m very proud of myself for not being totally slimmed down. So I’ll just sit here, waiting for the hurricane sirens.’
An hour later, the Pretty Little Liars star returned to Instagram with a video of her recently awakened husband setting up a “temporary tornado shelter” in the guest bathroom.
Tammin filmed Shawn giving a tour of the small space, which included a mattress wedged through the ceiling.
It comes just days after Tameen’s nine-year-old daughter Phoenix was arrested in the Covenant school shooting that killed three children and three adults on Monday.

Tammin earlier uploaded a screenshot of a weather warning report along with the caption: “What a week. Nashville beware.
She also re-shared a clip of the tornado filmed by someone else, showing swirling winds speeding along a rural highway.
Tammin posted to Instagram the morning of the shooting and was incredibly distraught, telling fans, “There was an active shooter at a school in Nashville…it’s right next to my daughter’s school.” She’s locked up, she’s fine.”
It comes just days after Tameen Phoenix’s daughter was caught in a Covenant school shooting that killed three children and three adults on Monday.
Phoenix attends a school very close to Covenant School, which has been closed as a precaution.

She described the ordeal as hitting “very close to home” for many parents in America, where school shootings occur almost every year.
