Tamera Mowry Housley honors her deceased niece, 18, a year after she was murdered in the Borderline Bar And Grill massacre near LA: & I miss her so & # 39;
It is exactly one year since a US Navy killed and killed 12 people at the Borderline Bar And Grill at Thousand Oaks in Los Angeles on November 7, 2018.
Among the dead after the Navy had taken its own life, Tamera Mowry-Housley's 18-year-old niece was Alaina Housely.
And Tamara on Thursday shared a sweet tribute to the teenager on Instagram in a Christmas card that the whole family showed together.
Tribute: Tamera Mowry-Housley shared this photo of her and niece, Alaina Housely, 18, in a Napa Valley 1839 soccer team game shortly before she was killed in the Borderline Bar And Grill shoot at Thousand Oaks near Los Angeles, on November 7 , 2018
& # 39; This was the last photo of a Christmas card we made together, & # 39; Tamera wrote. & # 39; I miss you so much. #alainasvoice #oneyear #myangel. & # 39;
The 41-year-old also posted a video of three members of the Napa Valley 1839 soccer team in gray T-shirts with the word & # 39; enough & # 39; on the front.
She pointed out that & # 39; 100 Americans are being killed with weapons every day. & # 39;
Tamera put it: “Today it is a year since we lost our dear angel Alaina. I miss her every day, but I know she is always with us and watches over our family from heaven.
Looking back: Tamra, 41, shared this moving snap word. & # 39; This is the last Christmas card photo that we took together [as a family]. I miss you so much & # 39;
& # 39; In our honor, we are fighting on behalf of her through the @alainasvoicefoundation.
& # 39; We ask our leaders to start the discussion to create #CHANGE. Together with @ napavalley1839fc we had #ENOUGH. #alainasvoice. & # 39;
Earlier this year Real's co-host and actress helped found the Alaina Voice Foundation non-profit group.
Its mission is to inspire & # 39; hope and kindness in our communities through education, music and mental health initiatives & # 39 ;, on the website.
Terrible loss: Tamera posted this photo of her niece shortly after the shooting by a Marine who claimed her life and the lives of 11 others
Her father Arik Housely added: & # 39; Alaina & # 39; s Voice Foundation was established not to make her immortal, because she will live in our hearts forever.
& # 39; We have established this foundation to bring about change in our society. We are broken, the mental health in our country is in a downward spiral. What can a small act of kindness do daily to help one person. & # 39;
The website statement ends: & # 39; The foundation believes that stopping one act of meaningless violence in the future may not be measurable, but it is worth saving another life and another family's heartache. & # 39 ;
