TALK OF THE TOWN: Black Mirror May Return Under New Title As Charlie Brooker Says Goodbye Manufacturing Giant Who Owns The Trademark

Charlie Brooker’s hit show Black Mirror may have to return for the next series with a new title.

Why? Because Charlie and the show’s co-creator Annabel Jones have parted ways with TV production giant Endemol-Shine, which owns the trademark on the Black Mirror name.

I understand that while there is no dispute, the talks about getting the rights are not going anywhere anytime soon, despite both Netflix and the producers saying they would like to make new episodes.

A source at Endemol says: ‘Those conversations are in full swing. I would never say never. ‘

If they can’t secure the name, Charlie and Annabel will have to come up with something different but similar … so is it time for a new series of Black Wardrobe Door?

Comedian Katherine Ryan admits she’s too close to her 11-year-old “sisterly” daughter Violet, who sniffs her mom’s phone messages and misinterprets them as sex texts!

One, sent to her husband Bobby while he was upstairs in the den and she in the kitchen, read, “If Violet falls asleep, I’ll come upstairs and we’ll do it.”

Violet read the text – and promptly burst into tears.

Katherine, whose invitation was eagerly accepted by Bobby – Violet’s stepfather – referred to the inclusion of a podcast in the study.

Katherine said, “It’s disgusting when your guardians have sex. We don’t even have sex at night.

“But I had to punish Violet for snooping on purpose – I expect a certain amount of confidence.”

Katherine, 37, entered into a registered partnership with her on-off high school sweetheart Bobby Kootstra in 2019 and has written a hit Netflix series based on her unusual family life.
