Takumi Minamino has expressed frustration at his lack of first-team opportunities at Liverpool as he could head for the exit this summer.
The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020 for £7.25million, but struggled to get playing time.
The winger even spent part of that time on loan with Southampton in the Premier League, where he made 10 appearances and scored twice.

However, Minamino made just nine starts in all competitions for the Reds this season, despite playing to the last hurdle in every competition, including winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
“Many of the games I played weren’t interesting to anyone,” Minamino said Sanspo†
“Even if I left the results, there wasn’t much response. I tried to inspire myself to prove my worth. I did personal training other than team training.

“I was thinking I would leave something behind when I mentally went to the game.
“I felt motivated every day by regret and anger. I’ve never had so much time as a player. It was difficult to maintain the condition and to connect with my feelings.
“But it was a season that seemed to have grown. It was disappointing but satisfying. At the same time, it makes sense to play an important match and leave a result, so it is said that I came out and got a result, but I don’t think it was a big problem.
“I want to do my best to be a player who can get results in important matches.”
Minamino has been linked to players such as Atalanta, Monaco, Wolves, Leeds and Southampton
Since then, reports have suggested the Japan international is keen to move away from Anfield this summer, with the Reds already saying they want £17million in return.
La Gazette dello Sport via Football Italy have even stated that Atalanta love the winger, but they face competition from Monaco, Wolves, Leeds and Southampton.
Though his 2.7 million-year wage demands from his next club are proving to be a stumbling block for the Serie A side.
Minamino, who has scored 14 goals in 55 appearances during his Reds career, will attract a lot of interest. It all depends on whether both parties can find what works.
