Cindy Prior (pictured right) has issued an emotional appeal to find her daughter Tahlia Prior, 27 (pictured left), who has been missing since Friday.

A distraught mother has issued a tearful plea for help to find her daughter who mysteriously disappeared almost a week ago.

Tahlia Prior, 27, was last seen on Mills Street in Bentley, south Perth, at approximately 5pm last Friday.

Cindy Prior had talked to her daughter earlier that day about catching up for shopping and lunch the next day.

But Tahlia did not show up for the planned meeting or answer any calls, which was “unusual,” according to her worried mother.

Ms Prior fought back tears as she issued a desperate public appeal on Wednesday, which coincided with her missing daughter’s birthday.

The couple had planned to have lunch and cook that day.

“Today is Tahlia’s birthday and we really miss her on her special day,” Ms Prior said.

“Tahlia is a bright and intelligent young woman, a student at Curtin University. She is kind, friendly and caring, and is a civil engineer.”

Turning to her daughter, Mrs Prior said: “Tahlia, today is your special day.”

We need you to come home. We need you to be home with us to celebrate your birthday. We miss you so much on this special day.

We believe Tahlia is quite vulnerable at this time and we are asking the public for any information they can provide us.”

Ms Prior added: “Like everyone, Tahlia has her ups and downs but overall she is happy and outgoing,” she said.

“We are extremely concerned for Tahlia’s safety and wellbeing and are desperate to have her home.”

“My family are very concerned. We are contacting everyone, putting up flyers at Curtin University and in the area where she was last seen, as widely as we can,” Ms Prior said.

Ms Prior said she has been “driving all over the place” desperately searching for her daughter.

“I can’t do it alone anymore, I need the help of the community,” she said.

‘Any small details, big or small, please contact us.’
