Two men were shot to death and six others were wounded after a mass shooting broke out at a block party in Memphis.
The Memphis Police Department responded to emergency calls made from a park on Carnes Avenue near Mound Street today at 7:19 p.m.
They arrived to find five victims at the scene, two of whom were pronounced dead and the other three were immediately taken to the hospital.
Authorities said 11 other victims arrived at the hospital in private vehicles shortly afterward.

Footage shows people desperately running for their lives and one person shouting “God, they’re going to kill us” moments after the suspect started shooting.
According to Interim Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis, between 200 and 300 people attended the block party today, which was held without a valid permit.
Videos of the party that have since emerged show a black Corvette doing donuts while a large crowd of people cheer.
Authorities have not yet identified any of the victims or suspects involved in the incident.
So far, police believe there are two people who shot at the party.
