R Ashwin "Not Most Important Person In My Life": Ex-India Star's Blazing Reply On 'Call' Question | Cricket News

Ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin’s 100th Test for the Indian cricket team, an interesting comment by former spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan went viral. As the entire cricket fraternity witnessed Ashwin’s historic moment, former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan said he was disappointed with the way he was treated by the veteran spinner. On social media, Sivaramakrishnan claimed that Ashwin had disconnected and not even responded to his congratulations on the 100th Test milestone.

“I tried to call him a few times to wish him on his 100th Test. I dropped my call. Send him a message, no reply. That’s the respect we former cricketers get,” wrote the former India spinner on X (formerly Twitter).

Sivaramakrishnan also issued a statement when a person on social media accused him of disrespecting Ashwin.

After that, Ashwin, replying to a post on The message contained an image of Sivaramakrishnan with the following line: ‘Please call me’.

Now there is another commentary on Aswin by Sivaramakrishnan. “He is not the most important person in my life,” he wrote in response to a question: “Did Ashwin call you back da kanna”

Ashwin recently made an interesting comment about the captaincy change at CSK.

“This was an inevitable decision. It had to happen at some point,” Ashwin said in a video on his YouTube channel. “I know MS Dhoni. He keeps the team first. He keeps thinking about the well-being of the team. That’s why two years ago he gave the captaincy to Jadeja. Now he has given it to Ruturaj. This decision had to be done. Who and how remained the question.’

Ashwin believes that the message of the change of captaincy would have been conveyed by Dhoni to Ruturaj last year. So the opening batsman would have been ready to take over when the new season started.

“Ruturaj would not have thought until yesterday that his role was just a batsman. I know MS Dhoni very well. Sitting in his room, enjoying dinner with the youngsters, he must have said to Ruturaj last year, I wouldn’t surprise if that was the case. ‘Brother, you are going to take charge. You can do all these things. I will be there, don’t worry’ is something that Dhoni told Night Ruturaj well in advance.”

Ashwin also heaped praise on Gaikwad and drew similarities between his character and that of Dhoni, suggesting that both are calm and collected personalities. “I know Ruturaj, he is extremely cool and calm. He is a very good person. I am extremely excited for him,” Ashwin backed the young opener to achieve success,” the off-spinner said.
