SZA admitted she was “shaking” during her headline performance at Glastonbury on Sunday night.
The 34-year-old American singer has spoken out after her performance was marred by sound issues as a significantly smaller crowd watched her in action on the world-famous Pyramid Stage.
Posting on Instagram, SZA admitted: ‘I was really shaking lol but we made it.’

The American hitmaker, 34, spoke out after her performance was ruined by sound problems as a significantly smaller crowd watched her in action.
“To my band of fans and every single person who helped make this happen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for dreaming with me at Glastonbury 2024.”
SZA told the crowd she was feeling pressure as she closed her performance on Sunday, admitting, “Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today. I’m so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect.”
SZA became the latest star at this year’s Glastonbury Festival to be affected by sound problems, as she took to the stage as the third and final headline act.
He performed on Worthy Farm’s iconic Pyramid Stage but the show sparked complaints from viewers, who criticised his “horrible” microphone problems.
SZA’s show also struggled to attract the huge crowds seen during Coldplay’s headline show the night before, as thousands of fans left the show after tuning in to England’s Euro 2024 match.
Pictures from the festival showed a significantly smaller audience than on Saturday.
When SZA began her star performance, viewers were quick to complain about her sound problems; some claimed that he sounded like he was “singing in front of a fan”.

The smaller crowd could also be seen during the BBC’s coverage of SZA’s show, with one viewer tweeting: “That SZA crowd is one of the smallest I’ve seen for a Pyramid headliner. Wow!”
Many fans had opted to join Louis Tomlinson and his sister Lottie to watch England’s Euro 2024 victory over Slovakia earlier in the evening, after Glastonbury organizers confirmed they would not be screening the match.
However, despite this, some fans praised SZA’s performance, with tweets including: ‘@sza your performance at Glastonbury was amazing!! My best friends and I danced around the room singing each piece. 3/3 of us cried and wow, you killed it;’

Fans were quick to criticise the sound issues that plagued SZA’s show as she became the latest star at this year’s festival to be plagued by technical problems.
The hip hop star admitted to the crowd that she was “very nervous” before her performance and ended her show by saying: “Glastonbury, I was very nervous to be here with you today.”
“I am so grateful, you have my deepest love and respect. I love you always, God bless you. Get home safe, my name is SZA, good night.”
SZA was far from the only star affected by sound issues during the festival, as Shania Twain suffered similar issues during her highly anticipated Legends show earlier in the day.
