“Except, centuries ago, I said I wanted to name my daughter” Mia. ” She should have remembered. They are completely different names, but the problem is I asked her how are you going to spell that? And she’s going to “MIA” … That’s Mia. ‘

The radio duo got Marie on the phone so Leanne could convince her to change the name of her unborn baby.

‘Growing up as kids I talked about if I ever had a girl I would call her Mia. Do you remember that? Leanne asked, to which Marie confidently replied, “No.”

Leanne continued, “You want to call yours Mya, that sounds different, but you spell it the same.”

Marie said she “liked the spelling” of Mia, but insisted that her daughter’s name be “pronounced differently.”

An enraged Leanne replied, “It’s Mia, any normal person would read that and see Mia,” to which Marie said, “Okay, so you’re calling me on the radio because you want to change my child’s future name? Can’t we keep this discussion off the air? ‘

Leanne explained that Marie’s daughter Mya will spend the rest of her life correcting people every time they pronounce her name as Mia.

“So you’re fine with other kids and new teachers going” oh hi Mia “and she says” it’s Mya. ” All her life she will be like “It’s Mya,” said Leanne.

“We will have cousins with much the same name. I said a long time ago I wanted mine Mia, and now you go to Mya. Like come on, don’t you have a creative bone in your body? ‘

Marie answered and said, “I didn’t think there was a problem until now … but I’m pretty determined with the name,” to which Leanne intervened, “That’s bullshit **.”

Leanne added: ‘She has always been the favorite. I’m done with it.’
