Sydney’s inner west was suddenly besieged by Covid as bottle shop, bakery and health clinic were exposed and passengers of FOURTEEN crowded trains became alert

Several sites in the Inner West and inner city of Sydney have been placed on high alert after being declared Covid exposure sites.

It is a worrying development for state health authorities as the Indian Delta variant now spreads across the port city with 239 new cases of locally acquired cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 2,810.

Among the newest locations to be flagged by NSW Health are a health clinic in the downtown Pyrmont, a bottle shop in the Inner West Suburb of Forest Lodge, and a trendy Annandale bakery also in the Inner West.
