Sydney Train commuters are experiencing significant delays and service disruptions following a morning strike.
The strike by members of the Railway, Tram and Bus Union took place at three in the morning and lasted only five minutes, but caused widespread disruption across the railway network.
All major Sydney train lines are affected, with thousands of commuters heading to work warned to expect longer waits and gaps between services.
Travelers are urged to check the Transport NSW website for live updates and to allow additional travel time.
“Train stops and platforms may change at short notice and some trains may be cancelled,” Sydney Trains said in a statement.
‘In some cases, additional travel time may be experienced and you may need to change to continue your journey.
“Consider using Metro services between Epping, Chatswood, Central and Sydenham as an alternative.”
