Sydney Sweeney has been trolled for dating her The Housemaid co-star Brandon Sklenar after ‘leaning’ on affair rumors during her Everyone But You press tour with Glen Powell.
The actress, 27, wowed in an elegant blue dress last week while heading to see Cult of Love on Broadway with It Ends With Us star Sklenar, 34.
Fans quickly began speculating that the Euphoria star was fueling speculation about her new movie by spending time with Sklenar, after she and Powell, 36, sparked romance rumors to promote their box office hit.
After a photo was shared on Chicks In The Office’s Instagram page, Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast host Amanda Hirsch commented: “Oh no, she’s doing that.”
Others wrote: ‘She’s giving Anyone But You a press tour’, ‘No, why is she looking at him like that…?’ and ‘Is she engaged or not? I’m confused.’
Sydney has been involved for the last six years with a businessman called Jonathan Davino, who is more than 10 years older than her and the couple is engaged.

In The Housemaid, Sweeney plays a woman in distress who is happy to start over as a maid for a wealthy, elite couple played by Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried.
In the lead-up to the release of Everyone But You, Glen and Sydney were dogged by speculation that they had had an affair on set.
The speculation smacked of scandal because Sydney was already engaged to Davino at the time.
Last year, Glen confessed that he and Sydney deliberately allowed rumors to flourish to help their film at the box office.
He noted that the tactic “worked wonders” as the film was a huge success, and added to the question: New York Times: ‘Sydney is very smart.’
The Hollywood Adonis, whose films include Top Gun: Maverick, explained: “The two things you have to sell in a romantic comedy are fun and chemistry.”
He noted: “Sydney and I have a lot of fun together and we have a lot of natural chemistry. People want to get what’s on the screen off the screen and sometimes you just have to lean into it a little bit, and it worked great. Sydney is very smart.

Anyone But You stars Sydney and Glen as two people who went on a date that ended in disaster, leaving them both permanently despising each other.
However, when their respective sisters start dating and then get engaged, Sydney and Glen’s characters are forced to be together for the wedding.
To prevent their families from meddling in their love life, they begin to pretend that they are actually a couple.
The film was released three days before Christmas and was a runaway box office success, despite receiving a lukewarm reaction from critics.
Shortly before the release of Everyone But You, Glen publicly addressed rumors that he and Sydney had an affair while making the film.

Online pranksters had already begun theorizing that the speculation itself had been a publicity stunt to drum up interest in the film.

She also admitted the possibility that the interest was fueled by the fact that she had been so carefully secretive about her relationship with Jonathan.
“Plus, I’ve never shared much (about my relationship), so the press loves to create drama in stories,” the White Lotus actress said.
Glen spent more than three years dating model Gigi Paris, but last April a source reported Entertainment tonight of their “amicable” breakup.
