There were emotional scenes at the SCG as the Sydney Swans and Gold Coast Suns paid a moving tribute to the victims of the horror Bondi Junction attack.

The two AFL clubs also laid flowers in honor of the six victims killed in the horrific attack, which took place in a shopping center just 10 minutes from the Swans’ home ground at the SCG.

Osteopath Ashlee Good, daughter of former North Melbourne AFL player and board member Kerry Good, was among those killed during the rampage.

Her nine-month-old daughter remains in serious but stable condition in hospital after being injured in the incident.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was part of the crowd of 35,649 who came to the SCG to pay their respects alongside the wider community.

Swans coach John Longmire said earlier in the week he had communicated with his NRL Sydney Roosters counterpart Trent Robinson about how their communities could best support each other following the incident.

“This is our local community,” Longmire said Tuesday.

“These are the people who come and support our clubs, and to have it so close to home… it’s a terrible tragedy that has unfolded in our backyard.

“I was talking to Trent Robinson about this last night. These are our club areas.

“It’s only five minutes away and all our kids go there (to Bondi Junction Westfield), our kids’ families go there, our friends.

“We go there, we travel there all the time. And by a stroke of luck, our friends and family weren’t there, but a lot of people were.”
