It’s been a big year for Tedesco off the field, having married Maria on January 7 in the NSW Hunter Valley before announcing they were expecting in April.
It comes after the Roosters bowed out early from the NRL finals, having only placed in the top eight in the final despite being favorites at the start of the season to win the competition.
The Roosters fell to a 7-10 start as a series of injuries, suspensions and poor form left them 14th in the table before ultimately losing to Melbourne in week two of the NRL finals .

It’s been a big year for Tedesco who married Maria in January before the arrival of their first child on Thursday.

The Roosters’ season ended in disappointment after bowing out in week two of the NRL finals with a loss to the Melbourne Storm.
Tedesco previously admitted the Sydney Roosters’ pre-season favoritism was an unwanted weight on the team’s shoulders as their first half of 2023 descended into a spiral.
At the start of the year there was a lot of expectation and pressure for us to perform,” Tedesco said.
“We probably held that for a while, like a weight on our shoulders.
“Maybe because of the pre-season signings and how our team looked on paper, I guess that’s why everyone put us at the top.
“Perhaps we believed this without actually working for it. I’m not saying we haven’t worked for it, but it’s not just because the team may think things are going to happen.
“You have to work for the team, do the little things well and that’s how the victories will come.”
