A mother-of-three was horrified to find her five-month-old son sleeping on a cot in his nursery with his bib over his head.

Shaleen Kumar, 33, worked as a chef at the Whiz Kidz preschool and early learning center in Pendle Hill, western Sydney, where her three young children also attended nursery.

Ms Kumar said that as she was preparing to give afternoon tea to the children at the center on Wednesday, she stopped by the baby’s room to check on her young son.

But when she entered, she saw him lying on his side with the bib around his head.

The mother said she had asked staff to put the bib on him because he had been drooling on his clothes, but to take it off when he was sleeping.

After removing the bib and checking that her son was breathing well, Mrs. Kumar returned to work, although shaken by what had happened.

The mother said the center used an app to record when babies were checked.

She claims her son was tested at 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday and not again until 2:20 p.m.

“He could have been like this for over half an hour,” he said, claiming he saw the staff member who allegedly checked on him in the break room.

Mrs. Kumar has left her job at the center. where she had worked for two months and she said she got paid the rest of this week.

“I’m not going to send my kids to daycare again,” she said.

‘Can you imagine if I hadn’t come in? Who do we trust with our children?

Whiz Kidz head office apologized to Ms Kumar, who now has another job in a casual position.

She and her partner work alternating schedules to take care of their three children, ages four, two and five months.

Kumar has since left a negative review for the Pendle Hill center online, along with a photo of his son in his crib.

Other parents were shocked by the image and also bombarded the center with negative reviews.

Ms Kumar reported the incident to the Department of Education, who told her it would investigate.
