Sweet tributes from royal fans on late Queen’s 97th birthday

Date:

“Happy Heavenly Birthday, Madam!” Royal fans celebrate the late Queen’s 97th with a sweet tribute as they say she ‘much missed’ and ‘there will never be another like her’

It would have been the late Queen’s 97th birthday today – and fans of the royal family have been sharing beautiful tributes online to celebrate the milestone.

In 1926, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II was born in Mayfair, London. She was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, who later became King George VI and the Queen Mother.

She celebrated her Platinum Jubilee 70 years on the throne in 2022, before sadly passing away at the age of 96 in September of that year.

To mark the late Her Majesty the Queen’s 97th birthday today, fans of the monarch have taken to Twitter to share their good wishes and reflect on the Queen’s legacy.

Happy birthday in heaven Queen Elizabeth II. We all loved and miss you,” one person wrote.

Another said: ‘I remember the late Queen Elizabeth II on her 97th birthday. Happy birthday, Your Majesty. Gone but not forgotten, much missed.

A third added: “Today, we remember the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her ninety-seventh birthday.

“Her unwavering commitment to duty, service, and country will forever inspire and be remembered by generations to come.”

And the fourth wrote: “Good morning, I would like to wish Queen Elizabeth a very merry Christmas… Cheers, Chief.”

“To remember our beloved Queen,” said a fifth, “on her ninety-seventh birthday, there shall be none other like her.”

Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary at 2.40 am on April 21, 1926.

She was the first child of the then Duke and Duchess of York, then King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

Elizabeth was born by Caesarean section at 17 Broughton Street, the Mayfair home of her mother’s parents, the Earl and Countess of Strathmore.

She was not expected to become queen when she was born, but the abdication of her uncle Edward VIII in 1936 placed her father on the throne and changed her fate.

She married Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten in 1947, and became queen at the age of 25 when George VI died of lung cancer in 1952.

Her eldest son, Charles, is now King Charles III. His coronation takes place in London on May 6th.

The coronation, which is just over two weeks away, will see King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, crowned in front of 2,000 people at Westminster Abbey.
