Sutton Stracke is skeptical. MENOPAUSE Made Erika Jayne Lose Weight: ‘I Still Don’t Look Like This, But OK’

Date:

Erika Jayne recently attributed her noticeable weight loss to menopause – but Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke seems to have her doubts.

“I went through menopause, but I still don’t look like this, but OK,” Sutton said We weekly.

Despite her skepticism, Sutton, 51, still had praise for Erika’s svelte figure.

“Well, god damn it…I gotta do whatever she does,” she added of her 52-year-old co-star.

Describing what viewers can expect from Erika in the upcoming 13th season, Sutton said fans will get to see a “softer side” of singer XXPEN$IVE.

“I think things have calmed down in her life,” Sutton said of Erika, who had recently gone through a legal battle in relation to ex-husband Tom Girardi.

“It’s nice to see this person. She’s more like the person I first met.

Shortly after, Erika revealed how the menopause caused her to lose weight during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The 52-year-old reality star appeared slimmed down during her appearance on the Bravo talk show wearing a black tank top, matching pants and high boots.

“It sounds like a whisper of herself,” Andy, 55, said of introducing The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills actor.

Andy later told Erika she looked great and asked her about her weight loss.

“Yes, I lost weight,” Erika said.

‘That’s what. Let me start by saying, you know, I want to make sure I don’t trigger anyone because we’re having this conversation in Beverly Hills and we have a cast member with an eating disorder,’ Erika said, referring to Crystal Kung Minkoff, 40, who openly shared her struggles with bulimia nervosa and body dysmorphia.

“But, yeah, I lost weight and I did it hormonally,” Erika said.

“Not Ozempic-ally?” Andy asked, referring to the weight-loss drug Ozempic.

“I was in menopause,” Erika said. “So I took it all off.”

‘Who loses weight in menopause?’ exclaimed guest comedian Jackie Hoffman, 62.

‘I went to the doctor and told him to take it out. Me, said Erika.

THE US National Institute on Aging in his explanation of menopause notes that it affects each woman in unique ways.

“The body begins to use energy differently, fat cells change, and women can gain weight more easily,” the NIA said on its website.

The 90-minute weekend shows will include old tracks, new music and “smart” covers, Erika said.

Erika said she was adding additional shows for the BravoCon weekend in Las Vegas in early November.

The reality star admitted she was nervous about the residency which starts in three weeks.

‘Yes, I am (nervous) and I should be. It’s a lot of work, it’s a great opportunity and a good show,” Erika said.

Ozempic has been a hot topic in Hollywood with stars admitting to using the diabetes drug for weight loss or outright denying it.

Semaglutide is sold under the brand names Ozempic and Rybelsus as an anti-diabetic drug used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and under the brand name Wegovy as an anti-obesity drug for long-term weight management.

The drugs act like a hormone in the brain that makes people feel less hungry and slows the removal of food from the stomach, which stimulates weight loss.

Erika’s RHOBH costar Kyle Richards, 54, in February slammed online speculation that she was secretly using Ozempic to lose weight.

Speaking to DailyMail.com about the ongoing rumors about her weight loss, Kyle admitted she finds it frustrating to have her hard work rejected as the result of a ‘cheating drug’.

“When people try to blame my appearance on surgery or Ozempic, which would be completely irresponsible to use when diabetics can’t get their hands on it, it’s really frustrating to me,” Kyle explained.

‘That bothers me. I prefer to just inspire people with what I do so they can try the same things I’ve done and see what happens to them.

Kyle also denied using Ozempic in January during an appearance on Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge’s Two Ts In A Pod show.

“A lot of people think I took Ozempic. To clarify, I’ve never taken Ozempic,” Kyle said, referring to the diabetes drug.

Kyle at the time also noted that she also did not use Mounjaro, a similar diabetes drug used for weight loss, or “one of the hits” like Wegovy or Saxenda.
