Strike Force Murraguldrie detectives carried out six search warrants in Sydney and properties in Liverpool, Maroubra, Eastlakes and Rhodes were raided on Wednesday.

Two men have been charged over their alleged involvement in a criminal syndicate supplying firearms and drugs.

About $500,000 in cash was seized along with a rifle, a pistol, ammunition, a knife, prohibited drugs and electronic devices.

Jake Joshua Buttigieg was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with 14 offences.

The charges included twelve offenses relating to the supply of drugs, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime and failing to comply with an access to digital evidence order.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Thursday.

Strike force detectives arrested a 36-year-old man at a property in Eastlakes.

Oscar Santa Ana was taken to the Mascota police station and charged with 14 crimes.

Seven of the charges relate to drug supply offenses and the others to firearms supply offences.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Center Local Court today.

The seized items will undergo additional forensic examination.

Investigations under the Murraguldrie strike force continue and more arrests are expected.

The strike force was established by Raptor Squad in October 2023 to investigate the drug supply activities of a 36-year-old man and his associates in the greater Sydney area.
