The terrifying moment a mother’s desperate cries for help rang out on a suburban street as she was believed to be stabbed by her ex-partner was captured on a neighbor’s CCTV.
Bonnie Garlett, 31, screamed as Leon Bropho allegedly stabbed her 28 times with a screwdriver at her home in Jules Court, in the Fremantle suburb of Willagee, early on Friday morning.
Bropho, 33, was charged in court on Saturday with attempted murder and did not apply for bail.
Ms Garlett is currently recovering in hospital after suffering serious injuries, including a punctured lung.
The mother-of-five can be heard screaming repeatedly in the heartbreaking clip: “He’s killing me, he’s killing me.” Help me. He’s killing me. Help!’

Her mother, Priscilla Little, described Ms Garlett’s injuries to 9News.
“One in the neck and one in the lungs. With a screwdriver. It was over…28 stab wounds,” Ms Little said.
According to police reports, emergency services found her, bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds, at a neighbor’s home and treated her on the spot.
Ms Garlett was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where she remains a patient.
She was reportedly the subject of a domestic violence restraining order against Bropho before the alleged incident.
Ms Little spoke to her “frightened” daughter an hour before the alleged attack.
She added that her daughter, Ms. Garlett, is the “strongest, most amazing girl.”
Bropho is due to appear in court again later in October.
