Susanna Reid was flown to Berlin on Friday ahead of the eagerly awaited Euro 2024 final between England and Spain on Sunday.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 53, made a surprise appearance to host Friday’s show from the German capital, just two days after previously announcing she would be taking a break from the show until September.
Taking to her Instagram page, the presenter made sure to document her “crazy” trip well which saw her rub shoulders with football stars including former England midfielder Jill Scott.
She also posed for a beaming selfie with former footballer and Sky Sports presenter Chris Kamara.
Susanna shared an impressive carousel from her time in Berlin, writing: “BERLIN! A crazy rush to see the preparations for Sunday. Fantastic team and guests.”

The TV personality also took a selfie alongside English presenter Sam Matterface, as well as more members of the production team, and flashed a cheerful smile in a solo selfie that showed off the Olympiastadion.
Despite announcing her annual summer break as host of the beloved daytime show, she returned to the screens after a couple of days to report from Berlin.
And recently, reports emerged that Susanna and former TV pupil Lorraine Kelly are reportedly furious that ITV bosses are steering A-list guests to This Morning amid the show’s falling ratings.
According Sun Susanna and Lorraine, 64, have been vocal about the opportunities they are denied to interview high profile figures.
This Morning, which introduced new presenters Cat Deeley, 47, and Ben Shephard, 49, in March, has interviewed the likes of Ryan Gosling, Meghan Trainor and Steve Carrell in recent months.
A source claimed there was infighting between production teams, telling the publication: “Susanna has expressed her desire to have bigger names and is frustrated that they are going elsewhere.”

Despite announcing she would be stepping down from hosting the beloved daytime show after 10 years on it, she returned to screens after a couple of days to report from Berlin.

Before adding: “It feels like they’re sending big stars to This Morning to try and dig them out of a hole.”

In May, This Morning was reportedly in crisis after “viewing figures fell by half”.
Since new presenters took over from Holly Willoughby, 43, and Phillip Schofields, 62, half a million viewers have stopped tuning in to the ITV daytime show.
With over a million viewers watching on Ben and Cat’s first day back in March, two months later the numbers now sit at less than 500,000 – a dramatic drop.
The drop in viewers comes after former This Morning presenter Fern Britton, 66, hinted she is “in talks to return to the ITV show”.
This Morning’s rival, BBC Morning Live, is reported to be getting between one million and 1.4 million views.

Former This Morning presenter Fern has hinted she is in talks with This Morning bosses about returning to the show, 15 years after her exit.
The presenter revealed that ITV approached her to make a series of films for the show, following her guest appearance earlier this year.
Speaking to Women and Home MagazineFern also reflected on her “difficult” divorce from celebrity chef Phil Vickery and vowed to never marry again.
She said: ‘When my interview was over and I was leaving the studio, a member of the production team came up to me and said, ‘Would you like to do some little films with us?’
“That conversation hasn’t happened yet, but those little four-minute films every now and then? Perfect. If I could do them in Cornwall, it would be even more perfect!”
‘A lot of the crew I worked with are still there and it was a real trip down memory lane. It was wonderful to be around people who meant a lot to me.
‘The morning I quit, I hadn’t even thought about leaving the show, so I left behind a lot of good things and a lot of good friends, so (coming back) was lovely.’
Following her time on Celebrity Big Brother, fans were reminded of just how good Fern is in front of the camera.
Rumours then began to circulate that she could be returning to This Morning, 15 years after her dramatic exit following a row with Phillip Schofield.
And recently, reports emerged that Susanna (pictured) and former TV pupil Lorraine Kelly have reportedly been left furious that ITV bosses are steering A-list guests onto This Morning.

Now Susanna and Lorraine (pictured) have reportedly “openly expressed” that they are missing out on interviewing big names.
Fern evaded the issue a bit, saying: “Doing interviews (for television) would be my dream. I would really like to do something related to politics. I’m not interested in political parties, but in politicians and how the minds of the people we vote for are.”
‘I don’t care what party they belong to, as long as they speak honestly to the country to understand what is going on in the world, how fucked up it was to leave Europe and how they are desperately trying to cover up the terrible things that are happening because of it.
“Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have my vote. It’s great to see Cat back. She’s been in America, gaining more experience, but for the viewers she’s a new girl.”
