Susanna Reid has revealed the ‘excellent’ weight loss tip given to her by world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.

On Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, the 51-year-old presenter told how the sportsman, 33, advised her to stop putting milk in his coffee, with Tyson using his own advice to help him shed the pounds.

Susanna previously lost an incredible two stone prior to the coronavirus lockdown by cutting alcohol from her diet, but recently admitted to gaining some weight after suffering a ‘lockdown slump’.

Speaking to co-star Richard Madeley prior to Tyson’s interview, she said: “I once asked him how he can lose weight – we have the history me and Tyson – because he did something remarkable where he lost a tremendous amount of weight and got herself back fighting fit.

“And I said what the key was and he said, ‘Susanna, you just have to give up milk in your coffee – you’re drinking too much milk in your coffee.'”

Then she held up her coffee mug and added, “So just in case—it’s all black this morning.”

“You told me not to have milk in my coffee anymore and that was an excellent tip.”

Despite following this particular advice, Susanna admitted to the father of six that she couldn’t give up her beloved takeaways.

She added: ‘Unfortunately I can’t stop the evening takeaway.’
